Growth

going beyond assigned scripts and societal structures, it's crucial to envision who we are today - embracing our current values and needs without fixating on an elusive future self. shock sets in when we realize we've been changing and outgrowing an idealized version of ourselves that remains just out of reach. the plans we make, the goals we set for the future rob us of our present joy and connection to who we are today. it's a thrilling revelation to acknowledge that our attachment to preconceived life plans hinder the authenticity of our journey. similar to the fluidity of life, our growth unfolds in unpredictable ways brutally inviting us to embrace the beauty of the present moment, unburdened by the weight of future expectations. outgrowing is growth, just not the way they told us it would be, it isn't a straightforward journey; it's a captivating and intricate process, real and complex. we're accustomed to shedding what no longer fits, what has been outgrown. there's an alluring deception when we find ourselves growing through outgrowing the very dreams we were told to pursue. social norms often depict outgrowing as failure, but i perceive it as the right kind of growth - a courageous evolution towards authenticity and a deeper understanding of oneself. this dynamic journey, a blend of pain and beauty, echoes the realization that i've outgrown certain chapters, perhaps even you.
