Memorable Experiences
Travel has shaped how I understand people, culture and storytelling. Some experiences were connected to work, while others happened simply because I was curious enough to go somewhere unfamiliar.
Looking back, I realize that these moments were never only about the destinations. Each place introduced me to a different rhythm, perspective or way of seeing the world.
The Multicultural TV Summit, New York City
New York remains one of the cities where I feel most at home. The seven years I lived there shaped my ambition, resilience and understanding of culture.
Attending the Multicultural TV Summit reminded me why representation in media matters. The conversations brought together people working to expand whose stories are told, who gets to tell them and who gets to see themselves reflected on screen.
Grand Art, New York City
Music has always been essential to my creative life. I created Grand Art to bring classical music and visual art together in a single live experience.

NBC Studios, Los Angeles
Walking through the NBC studio lot revealed the enormous scale behind television production. Streets that appear to be ordinary neighborhoods are carefully constructed sets, and golf carts are often necessary just to move between them. It reminded me how much planning, design and collaboration exist behind the images audiences eventually see on screen.
Bimini, The Bahamas
Departing Miami by seaplane for Bimini was unforgettable. The island is remarkably close to Florida, but arriving there feels like entering another world. The flight offered a different view of the water and reminded me how quickly a familiar landscape can become something completely new.
Miami Nights
Miami nightlife has its own creative energy. Music, hospitality, fashion and entrepreneurship come together in a way that reflects the city’s confidence and cultural diversity. Some evenings were simply celebrations. Others gave me an opportunity to observe how talented people build experiences, audiences and lasting brands.
Leaving Los Angeles
I rarely forget a memorable flight. Looking out over Los Angeles while departing LAX for Mexico City gave me one of those quiet moments between destinations when the mind finally has time to process where it has been and where it is going.
Paris After Dark
Hearing the energy of California carried into a Paris nightclub demonstrated how easily music crosses borders. A familiar sound can feel completely different when experienced in another country. That night reminded me that culture travels, changes and finds new meaning wherever people are willing to receive it.
Independence Day in Mexico City
Experiencing Mexico’s Independence Day celebration in Mexico City connected history, performance and national identity in one extraordinary public moment. I was struck by the scale of the celebration and by the way tradition remained alive through music, ceremony, clothing and collective memory.
CES, Las Vegas
CES brings together technology, ambition and spectacle on an enormous scale. The event offered a glimpse into how companies imagine the future and how quickly an experimental idea can become part of everyday life. Even the view from the Cosmopolitan felt connected to that sense of possibility.
Cannes, France
Being in Cannes during the film festival offered a close view of the international film community. The city becomes a meeting point for filmmakers, producers, artists and audiences from around the world. For me, Cannes represented both the glamour associated with cinema and the serious work required to bring a film from an idea to the screen.
Lake Como, Italy
Lake Como felt cinematic before I ever began thinking about it through a camera. The water, mountains, architecture and winding roads created a landscape that seemed carefully composed from every direction. Driving there allowed me to experience the region slowly and notice the details that disappear when moving too quickly.
Paris, France
The Eiffel Tower is one of the most familiar structures in the world, yet seeing it in person still feels different from seeing it in photographs. Paris reminded me that even widely recognized places can become personal once they are connected to a particular moment in your own life.
The Mediterranean
The Mediterranean contains some of the most beautiful water and light I have experienced. Off the coast of Greece, the colors seemed to change constantly as the sun moved across the horizon. Moments like that require very little explanation. Sometimes the most meaningful response is simply to stop, observe and remember.
What These Places Gave Me
These experiences changed how I see cities, creative work and human connection. They taught me that inspiration can come from a conference room, a studio lot, a crowded celebration, a quiet coastline or a conversation in a city far from home. Travel did more than give me photographs. It expanded the visual and cultural language I now bring to filmmaking, art and storytelling.
